It is MatCommand's built-in convenience configuration, not an official governing-body standard. Presets are starting points, and each tournament receives an editable copy.

Actual Weight is the wrestler's measured scale weight. Assigned Weight Class is the class used to build bouts. In a fixed-class format, an imported wrestler with no assigned class goes to the smallest configured class at or above actual weight, such as 104 lb to 106 lb. A valid explicit assignment is preserved and the Director can review or change it before build. Scramble / Grapevine remains actual-weight based.

HWT is an explicit heavyweight class. It sorts after numeric classes and displays as HWT in Director, scorer, viewer, bracket, import, and report surfaces.

Yes. Set P1, P2, and P3 separately for championship and consolation / wrestleback bouts. USA Wrestling 12U and 14U event presets use 1:00 / 1:30 / 1:30 for championship and 1:00 / 1:00 / 1:00 for consolation. If those schedules differ, the Director must choose which schedule Round Robin or another unclassified format uses before building.

Open Stage 2, Format and Rules. Choose the tournament format, then choose MatCommand, NFHS, or USA Wrestling. The editor then shows only that program's divisions. NFHS lets you check Boys High School, Girls High School, or Select Both. USA Wrestling lets you check 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, or Select All. Open Change Program or Use Another Source only when you need an alternative, a saved template, or a prior-event configuration. Review the tournament copy, then click Use Current & Continue to Roster.

Gender is Boys, Girls, or Coed. Folkstyle uses the established Folkstyle scorer. Freestyle and Greco-Roman use the saved USA Wrestling age profile for international timing and scoring; Freestyle also enables age-specific passivity and activity controls. Other requires the event's own verified configuration.

No. Built-in MatCommand, NFHS, and USA Wrestling divisions create a tournament-owned copy that can be renamed and customized without changing the master preset.

Yes. Choose the tournament default, then override only the intended weight classes in the division and weight-class editor. All groups remain in one tournament, roster, save, queue, public event, and backup.

No. A Double Elimination class with 2 through 4 wrestlers receives an advisory recommendation. The Director must choose Use Round Robin or Keep Double Elimination before build.

DE and RR labels identify mixed bouts in Director and viewer surfaces. Round Robin groups show standings. Double Elimination groups show brackets and placements. Both formats share global bout numbering, mats, scoring, results, printing, and exports.

Yes. The selected format is stored with the division and weight-class configuration and built group. It survives autosave, application restart, recovery, tournament reopen, and Full Event Backup export and import.

No. Scramble / Grapevine keeps its separate format-specific matching configuration. Madison / Scratch means grouping by actual weight plus configured age, weight-difference, bracket-size, and skill criteria instead of fixed classes. Those criteria can be stored, but automatic Madison grouping is not enabled in the standard Round Robin or bracket engines in this release.

Unlimited Round Robin, Single Elimination, Double Elimination, and Scramble / Grapevine tournaments during the active annual term, on up to two approved Director computers. Tournament Cloud is included.

Unlimited Scramble / Grapevine events plus up to three unique Round Robin, Single Elimination, or Double Elimination tournaments during the annual term. The same permanent Tournament ID counts once.

It needs Internet once before its first Start so MatCommand can receive a signed event authorization. After that, the exact Tournament ID can run, recover, and finish offline. Deleting local files or changing the format does not reset or evade the Cloud count.

Open Director Info / License Center and choose Load Full Demo Tournament. It builds a fixed 16-wrestler Folkstyle Single Elimination event with Bantam 60, 65, 70, and 75 classes, two mats, and one-minute periods. The sample NFHS Folkstyle preset is supplied automatically, with one-minute demo periods; no rules selection is needed. No paid license is required.

Use the normal scorer, Undo, corner swap, protected result, automatic next-bout flow, brackets, printouts, public viewer, Parent Portal, and mat display. All surfaces show Demo Tournament / Not Official.

No. Its identity, roster, format, divisions, classes, periods, and mat count are fixed. It is local-only and cannot become a real event. Choose Exit / New Tournament and create a licensed event for official competition.
